That’s not the only recruitment going on at airports of course, the government coerces some Muslims entering the country into becoming informants (.pdf).
You don’t have to join, though, to use the travel tips that CIA agents learn on the job. The most important are:
- drink alcohol (“Booze is free so enjoy”)
- avoid flying United
Note to CIA HR: I’m not sure I’d want to recruit from passengers who would choose to connect through Chicago in late December.
Before United fly nonstop from SFO-DTW the options were connect through ORD with a 30 minute connection or go through IAH. Even with the overall longer travel time it was the better flight options.
Wow so those of us unfortunate enough to live in places like AZO – should we just never fly in December? What a joke.

@GUWonder that was my sense of humor, for whatever it’s worth. There are also people, of course, who ORIGINATE in Chicago.

I know a retiree that used to work for the CIA. That person was ok but one of their kids so mean, ruthless, selfish, and even killed someone and got away with it. Great material for a Jason Bourne type agent except their loyalty is to themselves, not the CIA or USA.
