  1. We had a similar experience in Japan where the site errored out at purchase and we got no confirmation email. But I have a text alert for all credit card purchases, so we knew they charged us. We showed up at the airport and said “we think we have a ticket” And after much skepticism they agreed. In our case it was easier to fly the flight than figure out how to cancel it.

  2. Re: Plastiq – don’t worry. Paypal can always buy them and shut them down with only the flimsiest of cover-stories. “It’s for security!”
