Two Marine Aviators Drew a Phallus in the Sky

A few years ago Ryanair crew drew a penis in the snow.

The airline’s response was perfect,

‘While our ground crew excel at industry leading 25 minute turnarounds, art isn’t their forte, as they’ve clearly forgotten to draw wings on their snow airplane’.

Last year the US Navy got in on the act:

Many young boys dream of growing up to be pilots. Some of them become pilots without ever giving up being 15 year old boys.

Now two Marine Corp aviators have gotten into the act — with their routing.

The two aviators have been ground pending an investigation of their flying activities with disciplinary actions for their “looping phallic flight path” in a T-34C Turbomentor possible.

According to a Marine spokesperson,

The T-34C crew that are being investigated for flying a pattern resembling an obscene image are currently not flying pending the results of an ongoing investigation. Although not flying for the time-being, the two Marine Corps aviators are still providing vital squadron ground support functions.

  1. No snark, but I always wonder what’s being “investigated” after these sorts of “incidents”. They know what happened, they know who did it. What’s left?

I actually do admire the creativity of things like this.

  2. @Dan: they know what happened, but the lawyers need a few weeks to dig through various codes, rules and regulations, and perform an environmental impact study and do a consultation with any vulnerable and minority communities placed along the incident route, and decide whether it was actually wrong. Because these days, an eyeroll and two weeks of desk duty doesn’t cut it, you need to kill a forest and pay for a lawyer’s kid’s college first before you can get to that part.
