$1300 Roundtrip Business Class Fares to China

With half a dozen Chinese airlines flying to the U.S. in addition to three U.S. airlines flying to China — and with China’s carriers growing capacity from secondary cities — fares to China are some of the lowest in the world. That occasionally includes business class fares. But $1300 roundtrip? That’s insane.

SkyTeam member and Delta partner China Southern — which is part-owned by American Airlines — is launching three times weekly service between Los Angeles and Shenyang. They offer connections beyond Shenyang. And the fares are rock bottom cheap.

Here’s what one-stop Los Angeles – Shanghai on China Southern looks like in March.

Those Shenyang connections are offering $1307 business class roundtrips, for instance.

Other destinations in China are available, for instance here’s $1305 roundtrip for Beijing:

Key details of fare basis IPTUC:

  • 3 month maximum stay
  • Travel to China not permitted January 1 – 10, January 23 – February 5, June 29 – August 25
  • Fare valid for outbound travel December 25 – February 8, February 20 – March 31
  • $100 fee for change or refund

Most partner frequent flyer programs credit these fares at 100% of distance flown.

  1. We should be seeing many more deals to China, the tariffs are really affecting biz travel right now. Many empty seats!!!

  2. the price seems be work for both US-CN and CN-US. Then again, coach price for Dec-Jan roundtrip is only $430+ everything included, so extra $1000 for biz.
