Star Alliance Member Swiss Selling New York – Paris for $291 Roundtrip

Star Alliance member Swiss has a $346 roundtrip fare between New York and Paris.

This is a $30 base fare in each direction, plus taxes and fees.

This is a basic economy fare with no changes permitted. Outbound travel is available April 1 through May 6. Return travel is permitted April 1 through May 14.

Notably though Secret Flying reports that airfare metasearch site Skyscanner is useful for finding websites like TravelMerry and Hop2 that will sell the tickets for less.

In fact it’s available for $291:

Transatlantic discounters may be struggling, but they’re keeping fares from the majors low as well.

  1. Non-stops are available on Air France for $355. Including the “carrier surcharge” the total fare on that is only $227. They can’t possibly make any money on that but I’ll take it!

  2. One thing on that 2nd itinerary; how realistic is a 55 minute layover/transfer to new flight, even on the same airline and hopefully in the same terminal? Would you do it?

  3. @CoolHandLuke – I wouldn’t have a problem with it in Zurich [and risk is sort of lower connecting to ZRH-CDG, missing the segment less of a big deal than missing the long haul flight]
