Amazing Hilton Offer: 2500 Miles Stacks With Double Points

Hilton is running double points through September 9. That alone is probably the best current hotel promotion. Hotels are generally full and at historically high rates, so they haven’t needed to offer generous promotions.

Hilton used to allow you to ‘double dip’ earning Hilton points and airline miles. When hotel programs first launched customers preferred to earn airline miles for their stays, so offering hotel points and miles was a way to engage more customers in their program.

Hilton then they added the ability to earn extra Hilton points instead of airline miles. However earlier this year they killed the double dip along with extra points-earning in favor of higher elite bonuses.

What’s interesting is that there’s a new opportunity to double dip. You can earn Hilton points, more points with Hilton’s double points promotion, and through October 31 you can also earn 2500 Lufthansa Miles & More miles per stay. (Registration required)

I view 2500 Lufthansa miles at about $37, which is a great return on a cheap one night stay. It’s an even better return when you figure this is on top of the Hilton points you would otherwise earn.

You need to:

  1. Register for the promotion
  2. Go to ‘preferences’ in your account profile and add your Lufthansa Miles & More account number as a travel partner.
  3. Click that Lufthansa is your preferred partner.

Use Lufthansa miles for United Airlines domestic first class — or to book Lufthansa first class awards throughout the booking calendar (with fuel surcharges), not merely within 14 days of travel the way space is offered to partner frequent flyer programs like United MileagePlus and Air Canada Aeroplan.

Terms and conditions:

This promotion is open to eligible participants. An eligible participant is a person aged 18 or over and is a Miles & More Member (membership term and conditions apply).

To be eligible for this offer, you must be (1) be a member of Hilton Honors; (2)register online at Hilton Honors.com/lufthansa25 prior to completing your stay; and (3) compete an eligible stay at any participating hotel or resort within the Hilton Honors portfolio from 1 August, 2018 through October 31, 2018 (promotional period).

Bonus Mileage: Earn 2500 Miles & More award Miles for stays during the promotional period. There are no minimum or maximum amount of stays. A ‘stay’ is defined as the total number of consecutive nights spent at the same hotel, whether or not a guest checks out and checks back in again.

Specifically excluded from the definition of ‘stay’ are the following types of ineligible stays: wholesale/tour operator packages; contracted crew rates; travel agency discount rates; stays secured utilising Hilton Grand Vacations Club, and Hilton Club timeshare programs; Hilton Grand Vacations marketing packages with a sales presentation requirement, complimentary or barter rooms; NET Group rates, Series Group or IT Group rates; third party websites bookings (irrespective of rate paid); and ‘opaque’ channel bookings where the brand may or may not be known at the time of purchase. Hilton Honors Points (or stay credit) may not be earned (including as a Member benefit) for or during ineligible stays, including without limitation, folio charges incurred during ineligible stays.

Allow up to six weeks after check-out, and after promotion has ended, for miles to be credited to your account. ..The promoter reserves the right to withdraw the promotion or amend these terms and conditions without prior notice at any time, for whatever reason and without any liability to customers for doing so.

  1. So is a one way economy ticket NA-NA 15k miles, is that accurate? Meaning 6 stays should get me a one way saver ticket?

  2. I’m currently on a triple points + double points promo. If I sign up for this promo, will it triple dip?
    Meaning – base x3 + base x2 + miles?
    Thanks!

  3. Terms and conditions say bookings from 3rd party websites are excluded. Does this mean business travel stays booked through corporate travel portal are excluded?
