Jennifer Lawrence — and Pink’s Brother — Took Over Intercom on Flights Yesterday

Actress Jennifer Lawrence was onboard Delta flight 1975 from New Orleans to Los Angeles yesterday when she took over the intercom, declared herself ‘not the pilot speaking’ and then tried and failed to lead the plane in a chant for the Philadelphia Eagles.

It’s Super Bowl Sunday, we all know what that means, can I please just get a ‘fly, Eagles, fly!

She kept trying but you can see the plane was mostly indifferent to it. Then as the flight attendant takes back the mic she made a reference to Bridesmaids, “There’s a colonial woman on the plane, she’s wearing traditional..”

Lawrence wasn’t alone in trying something like this yesterday either. Pink, who sang the national anthem at the Superbowl, posted her brother cheering on the Eagles on a flight too.

  1. If it would have been me I would be already in jail. But Hollywood people? They can get away with anything. Amazing to what length they go to get attention. Pathetic!

  2. The headliner would have been different if it was somebody not named Jennifer Lawrence.
I was surprised that people in the plane did not care who she was or maybe a lot of people in the plane may not have cared about the super bowl at all.

  3. LOL @ the salty Pats fans in the comments. Your tears are nourishment.

I hate the Eagles, but Pats fans are even worse. No worries. You’ll cheat your way to the top next year, I’m sure.

  4. There are a lot of salty people on this website. And that’s coming from someone who hates the Eagles.

  5. Is there a line in the FA handbook that allows celebrities to make inflight announcements?

As for arresting them…it doesn’t sound all that much different from WN letting my 8 year old daughter carry the snack basket up and down the aisle during the flight. Wait, I guess the difference is the age. Either that or Hollywood types are just immature for their ages…

  6. How annoying. They arrest and crush people’s skulls for much less. Thankfully I was not flying yesterday and had to endure this stuff (folks, it’s just spectator sports, doesn’t change your life)

  7. Well, I guess we know what would have happened if, say, a Chinese physician had grabbed the intercom and made an unauthorized announcement on an AA flight.

And so i am left to wonder why a starlet wouldnt at least be met by a cop upon landing.
