Pet Policy Gone Mad: This Horse Stayed in a Hotel Room in Kentucky

One of my all-time favorite YouTube videos is about the Diamond elite guest checking into the wrong hotel, demanding the best suite available, and space for his giraffe.

In proof that life inevitably meets satire, a woman checked into a hotel in Georgetown, Kentucky… with a horse.

Lindsey Partridge drove from Pontypool, Ontario, to the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY. When she was checking into her hotel, she noticed the pet policy and joked about having a horse with her.

The receptionist said they don’t discriminate, so in walked Blizz, Partridge’s horse.

Reportedly when she arrived at the hotel she noticed a dog in the lobby. She didn’t realize that her hotel — being written up as the Supreme 8 but am pretty sure is this Super 8 — took pets. She “joked she had a few horses outside.”

The woman brought out her “5-year-old thoroughbred named Blizz” because “she was the easiest to get off the trailer.”

The hotel says their pet policy only permits animals under 25 pounds and they “had no knowledge of it being in the room” but the video is proof.

When I first saw this I thought it was staged, but the hotel confirms it’s genuine and you can see a hotel staffer pulling out her camera in amazement.

The horse took 3rd in the trail competition and 6th in the field hunter competition during its stay.

  1. Fake Blog – not news. Was just in Wellington where our AirBnB even had a note about not throwing the horse blankets in the washer. Horses are just regular people in some parts of the country, like Lexington and Wellington, and Lefftists can hardly argue against diversity and animal rights. The equine folk and humans have been sharing rooms for thousands of years since history tells us Joseph and Mary’s Bethlehem AirBnB was practically a manger..

  2. Disgusting. I’d hope than when I check into any hotel it’s not also being used as a horse box (even briefly, for novelty purposes). Where do we draw the damn line? If I saw that being filmed I would spin right around, demand a full cancellation refund, and find a place down the road not acting so idiotic.

  3. I have a medical assist horse and its perfectly clean and sheds less hair then most humans

  4. I shall have to consider taking my comfort animal (a donkey) with me the next time I travel. The problem is he usually behaves like an ass.
