Passengers and Crew Restrain Man Who Punched Girlfriend. He’s Only Fined $17!

A man was arrested and fined after flying from Antalya, Turkey home to Ufa, Russia.

He was swearing loudly and ‘becoming violent‘ before punching his 26 year old female travel companion.

Here’s the man being ‘handled’ by other crew and passengers, although since I’m not aware of a non-stop flight on the route (perhaps a reader could correct me if I’m mistaken) it seems like this would be the second flight on his itinerary.

The man’s total fine was ~ US$17, though he “has been put on a “close watch” list for airlines” but hans’t been banned from flying.

Bizarrely — or perhaps not surprisingly — it was only just in July when a drunk man had to be restrained by passengers on a flight from Russia to Antalya. It was the man’s first flight and he decided to calm his nerves with alcohol. Lots and lots of alcohol.
