Hotels.com is pricing a Conrad Suite at the Conrad Bali hotel in Indonesia at just $49 per night at least over the next couple of months.
Entry level rooms are running at least 3 times that price. Non-refundable bookings for the same room type are over $300.
It’s unclear whether this sale will be honored, but Hotels.com does promote it explicitly with a ‘price guarantee’.
I would book the prepaid option, though of course the ‘free cancellation’ rate allows you to cancel even if prepaid. That may or may not help your case if the hotel decides to back out on this flash sale.
This is a gorgeous resort. I haven’t stayed there, though I’ve been to Bali several times. I’ve recommended it to others who report excellent Honors elite treatment.

Bali is a fantastic beach destination and the suite itself will be nearly 1200 square feet, an amazing value for the price.
Don’t make non-refundable airline arrangements around this deal until we’re sure that Hotels.com and Conrad stands behind their pricing.

Wow. What an offer (if honored). And the coming months are a good time of year to visit Bali, weather-wise.
I have stayed there, in something very much like the very suite depicted. But the best aspect of the suite might not be the room itself…If I recall correctly (but prospective guests should definitely confirm this, including whether I’m confusing the suite perks with what were Hilton Diamond perks), the suites are in a semi-private, separate section of the hotel with its own small pool, restaurant, free happy hour, etc.
Another caveat is that my impressions of the place are from something like seven years ago. But at least back then, this was a wonderful hotel that was superbly managed with wonderful staff.
Don’t expect a great beach, however. Despite the tropical paradise image, many beaches in Bali are mediocre and the one fronting the hotel is no exception (kind of like a mud flat). But on the other hand the hotel is walking distance from a number of other hotels and restaurants that afford lovely sea views. Or, you can simply take a great walk in either direction if you’re so inclined.

No, it is not a fantastic beach destination. I love Bali and love it so much that I have been there 3 times on vacation in the past 13 months. I am a big fan of Bali so I am not knocking Bali, but you do not go to Bali if you want fantastic beaches. If you do, you will be disappointed. They have a few nice beaches but most are mediocre or lousy.
So @Jason, what do you go to Bali for?
Sorry to pile on with the other old Bali hands but I don’t think anyone familiar with Bali or beach paradises would tank Bali as one (different matter got surfers). Also, the peninsula with all the luxury hotels is barely a part of Bali.
