WATCH: Hip Hop Group Booted From Delta Flight Claims Racism

Days ago a family in Los Angeles claimed they were kicked off a Delta flight because they’re Asian. Other Asians took the same flight without incident.

Now hip hop group Migos says they were kicked off Delta flight DL1532 from Atlanta to Des Moines on Friday because racism, while Delta explains they “repeatedly refused to follow crew member instructions to buckle their seatbelts and stow carry-on items in the overhead bins.”

The flight returned to the gate and “Takeoff was reportedly the only one kicked off the flight, but Quavo and Offset, as well as their manager, also left in solidarity.” Then this altercation ensued:

[T]he three members of the group arrived in their first class seats and promptly fell asleep. (Hence why they couldn’t respond to crew instructions for Takedown to move his bag into the overhead compartment, as per airline regulations.) The manager accused the airline of engaging in racial profiling in its handling of the group.

The rappers, who complained the incident would cause them to miss their show in Des Moines, were rebooked on another Delta flight — DL1405 — with arrived after 11 p.m. Friday night. Their show was scheduled for 10 p.m.

  1. Delta employs the most racially diverse group of employees I have seen on any airline. In fact in Atlanta a large portion of the FA’s and gate agents are African Americans. Somehow I really doubt this charge of racial bias and more believe that these young punks decided to make a scene.

  2. So basically anyone not a straight white male is can try to claim some kind of discriminatory treatment despite most situations being their own fault.
I’m a minority but never have any trouble or mistreatment while flying. I’ve had rude gate agents, but some people may be stressed or just rude and you can’t respond in kind.

  3. These people are going to make millions once they sue Delta. They missed their concert in DesMoines and thousands of their fans were disappointed plus millions in lost ticket sales.
Good luck on this one Delta.

  4. 100% believe that migos were the problem here because, well, they are usually the problem everywhere they go

  5. Michael karpiel – relax it has nothing to do with African Americans. The rappers have not made any statements on the issue. If you check instagram they flew on a chartered delta aircraft.
The man in the video ranting about racism is actually white.

  6. There are regulations regarding safety issues when you fly. All bags need to be stowed for takeoff, seat belts on, etc. it’s an important issue to understand that if there is an FAA agent onboard and in infraction occurs, the employee as well as the airline are subject to the fines.

  7. Ah, the old ‘falling asleep immediately’ ruse! In my experience this is usually the tactic of young/youngish females with a Y ticket who have plopped themselves into a premium cabin seat in the absurd hope they will not be disturbed and sent packing to 58E where they belong.

  8. Interracial racism. It’s the new thing on fake news. Historically the bloods and cryps were the pioneers in it. Then it transcended into the airline vs hiphop community.

  9. What a travesty! I don’t mind that people behave this way. My only complaint is that they should at least have a videographer with them so we get good video of the cluster fuck when they get kicked off.
