VIRAL VIDEO: Amtrak Train Brings Snowpocalypse to Passengers Waiting on Platform

Twenty years ago Jay Leno responded to an Amtrak ad with a couple cozying up next to each other on a train, saying that he always knew near-death experiences brought people together. At the time Amtrak was planning to let go of 600 managers, but Leno said they weren’t actually going to be fired, Amtrak was just going to put them on a train

More than 20 inches of snow descended upon Upstate New York last week. This Amtrak train went about its business as normal at the Rhinecliff station, much to the chagrin of passengers waiting on the platform:

As Yakov Smirnoff might have said, In Russia, Snow Plows You!

  1. what was the woman standing there till the last second thinking?

it appeared like every other person moved to the other side of the platform, and she remained?

until she was blown away by the snow?

at first i wondered if she was setting herself up for a suit against the railway company…..

but appears she’d do the gene pool a favor, if she wasn’t about in any case.

  2. They all saw it coming – every one of those people had their phones out and were taking video/photos of this…

My bigger question is, is there no chance that much snow would potentially derail the train?
