Delta puts a specific award on sale usually each month and this month it’s certain European routes.
Delta pretends to no longer have award charts. The truth is they are just hidden. That’s why they can simultaneously claim there’s no ‘regular price’ (false) and that they’re running a ‘sale’ off regular price (sometimes true).

Since Delta recently jacked up the roundtrip business class price from 125,000 to 140,000, that’s either a great or a modest discount depending on your perspective (and raising prices only to advertise discounts is a shady practice).
You’ll see in this award availability calendar that the roundtrip business class price of New York JFK – London drops from 140,000 to 110,000 and is available most days once the calendar crosses from July into August and the promotion kicks in.

Say what you will about Delta, but they release a lot more space on their aircraft than AA does
James K Interesting, I feel the opposite. Most of the time that I check, Delta wants 300,000+ miles for a flight I can get on American for 125,000. The difference seems to be that Delta bases miles needed on the price of the ticket, so the more desirable the route and time, the more they charge. AA doesn’t seem to do that. If they have space to Europe in business class, it’s 125,000 miles.
