Great Deal: US-Amsterdam on Sale for Under $600 Roundtrip!

New York and Philadephia – Amsterdam is running as low as $545 roundtrip, hat tip to the indispensable The Flight Deal.

Other cities are available for slightly more.

You can also start in other cities for $100 – $150 more. Here are some examples:
Dallas [DFW] – $730ish
Los Angeles [LAX] – $790ish
Miami [MIA] – $816
Chicago [ORD] – $798

The deal is available for travel between September and December and between end of March and early May. Fly Sunday through Thursday on the outbound from the U.S., and return on a Monday through Thursday.

As an American AAdvantage Executive Platinum, I can upgrade these fares with the eVIP systemwide upgrades given each year. Confirmable upgrades to business class are to the ‘C’ bucket, which is viewable at Expert Flyer.

Prior to October 17, flights are operated by US Airways. Afterward they’re legacy US Airways operated by American. If you want to travel prior to October 17 make sure to book with a US Airways flight number rather than the American codeshare.

Meanwhile, another great deal highlighted by the Flight Deal is Belize for $275 roundtrip from Phoenix, Miami, Philadelphia, Charlotte, and St. Louis.

  1. Why is the following quote true? “If you want to travel prior to October 17 make sure to book with a US Airways flight number rather than the American codeshare.” I’m AA exec plat too if that’s applicable- just want to make sure i’m not messing up things

  2. @ baccart_guy — This would be so much more fun if this was in business class! 🙂

  3. This would be nicer if they weren’t using a really old 757-300 on this flight, which is uncomfortable as heck in economy and not even that great in First Class (seats do not lie flat). Any idea when this flight will be upgraded to a new model plane? I’d LOVE to go to Europe this way and avoid the BA tax (my miles are all on US/AA).

  4. Are all of these fares gone? Or am I doing something wrong? Have not found a single date under $880 via ITA?
