  1. I’ll just say this here. I think Costco will ultimately regret dropping the American Express Cards. Costco’s members are a different class of people than Sam’s Club. If Costco wants to be the high end of the market, then Costco has to accept the American Express card. Besides Costco, makes over $500 million a year just from membership fees. I can’t imagine the higher merchant fees from American Express are a make or break item for Costco.
