You May Be Able to Sign Up for 50,000 Hyatt Bonus Points – Even If You Weren’t Targeted

Hyatt has a targeted 50,000 point bonus offer out. I wasn’t targeted for it.

There are also several smaller targeted bonuses out. I wasn’t targeted for any of them, either.

I’ve gotten some reports, though, of customers getting added to the promotions by asking.

I inquired with Hyatt what the policy is here. This is what they wrote back:

We have made some allowances like this, but it is not a general rule. We have some review on a case-by-case basis for each member that make an inquiry.

“Your mileage may vary.” But it seems like it could be worth asking, especially if you have plenty of Hyatt stays upcoming.

Here’s the offer. Between September 1 and November 30, your qualifying nights (excluding MGM M Life nights) earn:

  1. I am a high spending Diamond who also didn’t get targeted for the promotion. I read your post, Gary, and called. They enrolled me with no pushback. Thanks for the tip.

  2. Not targeted for promotion. Called diamond line and stated that there is a 50kstay20 (promo code) that I am not able to register. Agent stated that she has added the promo to my account……less than 30 seconds of conversation. But no confirmation.

  3. Thanks Gary, I called the Diamond desk and requested the promotion and it was put on my account. I’m off to Asia Nov. 2 and that will be an extra gift on the trip

  4. I spoke to the diamond line earlier today- before seeing this post. I mainly complained that they were dissing their most loyal customers…

  5. As a Diamond Member already qualified for same status next year, I emailed and asked to be included in the promo and was declined. I pushed back and asked why would hyatt not give me an incentive to stay with them for the rest of the year vs another chain (also almost 75 night Platinum with SPG)
I was told that they had enrolled in a customer retention promo: 2k for 1 stay. I honestly felt insulted. Thanks Hyatt. Lets see how next year goes.

  6. I emailed Hyatt Tuesday (8/26) and they added the promo today (8/28). I’m planning to stack this promo with a Diamond Challenge, which I have not requested yet.

  7. Contacted Hyatt about the 50,000 bonus points and they needed an offer code for the promotion. Do you have an offer code I can reference

  8. I called the Diamond line and they added the promo to my account, after asking for the offer code, which is “50kstay20”. Thanks to everyone’s help here!
