Comment Here for a Chance to Win (A Bunch Of) American Airlines Lounge Passes

Last month I was giving away 25,000 American AAdvantage miles and a whole bunch of lounge passes.

Citibank offered them up to me to share with readers, highlighting their classy move to reach out to American Express Platinum cardholders. Platinum cards no longer offer American or US Airways lounge access, and Citibank is the sole issuer of cards that offer lounge access with the new American Airlines.

Citibank has the most generous credit card signup offer in the market with a 100,000 mile signup bonus for their Executive Card which bundles lounge access.

It turns out that they sent me a whole bunch of extra club passes, more than I needed to fulfill the last contest, so I’m giving the extras away here on the blog!

I am not being compensated by Citibank for highlighting their 100,000 mile bonus or giving away prizes. And as I shared in the original contest post, I am not keeping any of the prizes for myself — so I need your help to take the extra lounge passes off of my hands.

Here are the prizes:

Three prizes of (4) American Admirals Club passes each

So here’s how you enter.

  • I have several trip report sections on the blog. I have a page of airline reports, of hotel reports, of airline lounges, food, and activities and other quirky things.
  • Visit the airline lounge review page
  • Leave a comment on this blog post. Answer the question, “what is your favorite airline lounge, of those that have been reviewed on this blog?”
  • Enter by Noon on Sunday June 1. That’s 2 days from this writing.
  • Enter as many times as you like, but… You can list any and as many of your favorite lounges as you like, but each entry has to be a lounge I have reviewed on the blog. And if you enter more than once you must say why you like the lounge you’re entering with.
  • Prize winners will be drawn at random. As in past, I will use random.org for the drawing.
  • Fine print. Void where prohibited by law. All of my decisions are final and unappealable, I want to make giveaways as easy as possible and with the fewest headaches possible. Redemption of Admirals Club passes are subject to Admirals Club Terms of Service.

So, what is your favorite airline lounge that’s been reviewed on this blog?

  1. Haven’t been, but the AMEX centurion lounge in Dallas would be great to see

  2. The Centurion Lounge in DFW. Sounds lovely, and I’ll be passing through there soon.

  3. Cathay Pacific, Cabin – easiest one for the 380 BA gates – sandwiches made to order

  4. Favorite lounge that I’ve personally been to: Centurion Lounge in DFW. Also had the pleasure of meeting you there, Gary! (On the way to FTU Seattle)

  5. My (new) favorite lounge has to be the Amex Centurion Lounge at DFW–read about it on your blog and waited, and waited (felt like forever) until I was traveling through DFW on military leave in the middle of a year-long Afghanistan tour.

I was able to grab a shower and a quick bite prior to my connection—sure, other lounges have these same amenities, but the Amex staff were so pleasant….they made my day. First words from my wife, “You don’t smell like you’ve been traveling for 36 hours!” Makes a huge difference to hug the family after a “refresh” in DFW.

    Love the blog!

  6. CX Pier although currently being re-furbed is a great little lounge, not as grand as the Wing though

  7. Cathay Pacific “The Pier” First Class Lounge, Hong Kong – Clean, Bathrooms

  8. British Airways First Class lounge, New York JFK – Groovy Couches and booze

  9. My favorite lounge is the LH First Class terminal. Absolutely amazing facilities, food is good and drinks are up to the ones served aboard.

  10. I find the Etihad First Class Lounge really outstanding due to its wonderful architecture.

  11. Nothing has come above the Lufthanse first class lounge in Frankfurt so far.

  12. I find the concorde room amazing because of its private option: the Cabanas!!

  13. Thai Airways First Class Lounge/Spa in Bangkok–the spa and massage–fantastic!

  14. Since I’ve only been to two of the clubs that have been reviewed, here my choices are slim; the AA Flagship lounges MIA & ORD. I’ll go with the ORD Flagship lounge.

  15. I have never been in any lounges yet, but my favorite from reading your blog is Cathay Pacific the Wing in Hong Kong. Loved the food and Cabanas! Thank you for posting.

  16. Cathay Pacific’s The Wing in Hong Kong–I want to cap off a great trip in 1st with a shower in that cabana and a Martini in the bar.

  17. My favorite lounge experience that I share with your reviews is the Virgin Clubhouse at Washington Dulles. This was one of my first lounge experiences that released my inner travel kraken!! I felt like I was part of a secret club, where I got to eat hot prepared food, sampling everything on the menu. The ambiance was sophisticated, and I might have even pretended I was on a commercial 😀

  18. I haven’t been to many lounges and unfortunately non of the nice ones that you’ve reviewed. The one lounge that I have been to multiple times that I think is decent is the big US Airways Club in Charlotte between C and D. The club is very spacious and usually kept in good shape. The food and drinks are what they are for a USAir club but at least it’s a quiet place to relax and recharge between flights.

  19. Haven’t been to many on your list but like Lufthansa’s First class Lounge in Frankfurt

  20. I do like the CX the wing lounge in Hong Kong.
I like it better than BA’s Concorde lounge…

  21. Love the Air France Arrivals Lounge at Paris Charles de Gaulle after a long flight!

  22. AMEX Centurion Lounge DFW – I love his lounge because of the amazing decor, nice chaise loungers, showers and pretty good food. The staff are excellent.

  23. DFW Centurion is my favorite for its great service, layout and food offerings!

  24. I have wanted to experience Lufthansa’s First class Departures Lounge in Frankfurt for a few years now. Unfortunately, occasionally I seem to arrive in Frankfurt in First, but never depart in First.

  25. I have never been to Cathay Pacific Wing at HKG, love to see it.

  26. Lufthansa in Frankfurt. A shame about the enormous United devaluation.
