Fantastic Offer: 50,000 Points for American Express Premier Rewards Gold

Key Link: CARDMATCHTM has a 50,000 point offer for the American Express Premier Rewards Gold

Several folks have emailed me about the 50,000 point signup bonus (after $1000 in spend within 3 months) for the American Express Premier Rewards Gold, $0 fee the first year, $175 thereafter.

You have to see if you are eligible for it using’s CARDMATCHTM.

The standard offer for this card is just 25,000 points. It seems as though these superior offers for American Express products last from several hours to a couple of days. (Since the 50,000 point offer isn’t my American Express link, they didn’t tell me about it, and isn’t telling me when they’re pulling it.)

The last time this was offered it was very short term. And I’ve only seen a generally-available offer this generous offered for the card twice in the past two and a half years.

To see if the offer is available to you, go to CARDMATCHTM.

If it’s available, this is the one coming up first. (And if it’s not coming up, perhaps validate who you are in their system by including the last four digits of your social.)

(Offer seen November 26, 2013.)

A year ago I reviewed the American Express Premier Rewards Gold card.

It’s a card that I carry because it earns triple points on airfare, double points at US gas stations and US supermarkets (it’s the best Membership Rewards-earning card), and that the points are extremely flexible — Membership Rewards points transfer into a whole host of points partner programs, and in many cases do so instantly.

I love American Express points best for transfers to Singapore Airlines Krisflyer – since Singapore makes two first class award seats available almost all the time for their own members.

And of course American Express also offers semi-regular transfer promotions where 50,000 points may wind up transferring into 65,000 or even 75,000 miles at times.

It seems well worth jumping on this offer that’s twice as good as usual, especially given the relatively modest bonuses that other American Express cards have had lately.

Since I don’t have my own 50,000 point offer link for the American Express Premier Rewards Gold card — my referral link is for 25,000 points — I direct you to my link for’s CARDMATCHTM.

  1. I’m not sure how to post screen shots, but last night when this was starting to spread I went to card match and I was not shown this offer. I did then go directly to AMEX’s website to see if I had any special offers. The 50,000 Gold offer came up as well as 100,000 for the Platinum card ($3,000 in 3 months). I went with the platinum offer, approved immediately.

  2. Not showing for me either. What were the terms as far as having another Amex personal card. Was it 90 days or a year?

  3. to clarify – is it 90 days for any AMEX personal card – like the delta or JetBlue?

or is it 90 days for any consumer ZYNC, Green, Gold or Platinum?

So if I got the Delta Amex a month ago can I get this?

  4. Cardmatch worked for me, but when it sent me to AMEX, I got a notice saying I don’t qualify for this offer because I’m already an AMEX card holder. That isn’t true as I haven’t had an AMEX card for several years. Oh well.

  5. @John Good offer. It is not coming up for me, unfortunately, I think as I am already an AMEX member. I have not had a personal charge card since May, hoping that I would be able to reset my sign up bonus at some point. Still no luck.

  6. @John, I’m not seeing any “Your Special Card Offers” when I follow your instructions.

They must truly be special offers!

  7. Odd. I am an Authorized User of a PRG and when I log into Amex, rather than allow me to apply for a PRG for myself, the site asks me if I want to add more Authorized Users. It looks as if Amex thinks I somehow have a PRG of my own and won’t allow me to apply for a PRG online.

  8. I am not seeing “your special card offers” either. John, can you post the URL of the page from which you took the screenshot. Also, when you click on the link for the 50k Gold card, can you post the next URL you see? And one more question I’d like to ask privately, would you email me at Thanks.
