Mercedes-Benz American Express Platinum 50,000 Point Bonus Still Available

Earlier today I wrote that the Mercedes-Benz co-branded American Express card didn’t seem to be available currently. When you go to the traditional page for the card, it pulls up an invalid application.

Gary Steiger of Free Frequent Flyer Miles left a comment pointing to an application for the card that appears to still be valid.

The offer for that card is 50,000 Membership Rewards points after $3,000 spend within three months.

The card has a $475 annual fee, and the offer is not available to:

applicants who have had a Platinum Card within the last 12 months or any Consumer ZYNC®, Green or Gold Card account within the last 90 days

There are of course other offers for the card either with first year fee waived or with 50,000 point signup bonuses that you may be eligible for.

Note that none of the offers mentioned in this post provide referral credit to me, because all potentially provide more to you than the standard offers which do.

  3. So, if I have the business Gold card right now (using my SS#), can I get this Mercedes Platinum card? Or would i need to cancel the Gold to get the Platinum?

  4. I’m with Brian, I have the Delta Amex Gold now. Does that mean I can’t get the Amex Platinum with bonus?
