The upcoming European MegaDO (September) is completely sold out. There are a few seats left for Star MegaDO 5 (October) and indeed a few people who were going had work and personal commitments come up and had to cancel, so there are even a few “Tommy Class” seats available and not just regular coach.

As I noted last week when sharing that September MegaDO participants could receive Club Carlson Concierge status, there are often surprises and new opportunities added to the mix even after folks sign up.

Today Marriott shared details of their promotions for Star MegaDO 5 participants (in addition to Platinum elite status).

• 5,000 bonus points every 2nd stay to anyone participating in Star MegaDO 5 between August 15th and October 15th. This is in addition to the current quintuple dipping opportunities including the “MegaBonus” free night offer.
  
• The person on Star MegaDO 5 who spends the most eligible revenue at participating Marriott Hotels worldwide between August 15th and October 15th will receive 7 Nights at any participating Marriott Rewards hotel in the world, Platinum Premier status with Marriott Rewards, and Platinum status with United.
  
• In addition, three free nights will go to the participant who stays at the most number of unique Marriott Rewards brands between August 15 and September 15, and also three nights to the participant who stays at the most brands between September 15 and October 15.
