Samsonite Spinner Luggage ~ Two Thirds Off

Vente-Privee has Samsonie spinner luggage on sale at about two-thirds off retail through Wednesday at 9am Eastern (though often the most popular items will sell out before a short-term deal is scheduled to end).

They have a 21″ spinner carry on bag from $78, and bags which retail for $540 (though there are frequently sales for less) priced as low as $169.

  • Free shipping on orders over $100 if you pay with an American Express card, so if you go for one of the cheapest bags consider adding some cheap discounted travel accessories to get free shipping.
  • Returns are accepted for 21 days from shipping date. If you decide you don’t want your purchase be sure to return right away.
  • There’s a 10 year warranty, so not quite the lifetime that Briggs & Riley offers.

Note that this is my referral link for Vente-Privee. Using someone’s link gets them a $20 credit towards a future purchase (at no benefit but also no cost to you). Feel free to leave your own referral links in the comments.

  1. I’m trying to figure out the difference between the 21″ Spinner (at $78), the 21″ Spinner Suitcase (at $129), and the 21″ Nylon Spinner (at $98). I got an offer in my e-mail for $20 off a $100 purchase, so I might pick up one of these . . .

  2. Thanks Gary. I was in need of a new carry-on as my shoulder has been bothering me lately and I currently use a very nice soft-sided non-wheeled bag. The 21″ spinner dimensions appear to be approved for carry-on purposes with the airline websites (BA & VS) that I checked. This will be a nice relief for my back and a good stop-gap until I upgrade to a Tumi or Briggs & Riley.

  3. @ Avid Traveler – It was e-mailed to me this morning. I didn’t post it earlier because I wasn’t sure if it was targeted or not, and I wanted to be sure to use it myself, first.

Go ahead and try discount code VPGIFT. Note that I had never ordered from Vente Privee before, but signed up when they first started up a while back, so this might only work on first orders. It is also only valid on orders of $100+. It also appears to be targeted (the terms say “You must be the addressee and recipient of this e-mail to redeem this offer”) but the code appears to be pretty generic.

I went ahead and ordered the 21″ Spinner and Laptop Bag set which was selling for $118. I took the $20 off, then added a $5 lock to bring my total to $103 to qualify for free shipping. Good deal!

  4. Samsonite appears to be running a similar sale on their own website, and they’re also offering free standard shipping for >$99. (The 30.5″ Spinner was a few bucks cheaper there, even after tax.) So if the bag you want is sold out on Vente-Privee, might check there as well…

@ CFFrost, I tried the VPGIFT code and got “not enabled for ID” error, so it does appear to be targeted. But thanks anyway!

  5. There is probably no one in this world that pays the MSRP for luggage. In fact, I’d wager that most people get AT LEAST 50% off when they buy.

IOW, getting way overpriced luggage for two-thirds off is not such a deal.

  6. that 30.5 is cheaper on a dozen different sites, and it took all of 5 seconds to search.

  7. Or check it our at your local Ross store, I bought one Samsonite 21 spinner for $64 + tax.
