500 Free Hilton HHonors Points for Syncing with TopGuest

Turning the mic to Frugal Asian Man:

Hilton DoubleTree is running a special promotion with Topguest where if you sync your Hilton HHonors number on their page at http://doubletree.topguest.com, you will receive 500 Hilton HHonors points for free.

This offer is available to only the first 40,000 Hilton HHonors users who sync. From my understanding, you do not need to be a member/user of Topguest to use this promo. However, it does seem that if you have had your Topguest account suspended before (and you had synced your Hilton HHonors #), you will not be able to participate in this promotion.

  1. I was not suspended by Topguest, but my Hilton hhonors account number was “ineligible”

  2. I suspect if you previously synced your HH number and Topguest account it’s now ineligible. I wasn’t suspended either but I’m ineligible.

  3. When can we delete the app? It says 6-8 weeks, but I don’t want that app on Facebook active that long. Not too keen on those apps not knowing what they do with all those information on your accounts.

  4. Removed the topguest app from my FB account, still Ineligible. I’ve contacted doubletree support and we’ll see what happens.

  5. @A, you and me both. This is what the page says:

    “THIS APP WILL RECEIVE:

    Your basic info
    Your email address (cblaisd@gmail.com)
Your profile info: description, activities, birthday, education history, groups, hometown, interests, likes, location, questions, relationship status, relationship details and religious and political views
Your stories: events, notes, photos and status updates”

Given what one FT’er has pointed out here

the points don’t seem worth it to me for this or the other FB app promos that HHonors is running. YMMV, though 🙂
