  1. Dare I ask, what is the connection between tea and the stimulus package in the USA? I don’t understand this reference at all?

  2. One is sorely tempted to inquire why Gary (or self-righteous Frugal Travel Guy) didn’t announce any protests over the previous 8 years of fiscal profligacy. Thanks, but I’ll pass on the invitation to side with the Herbert Hooverites.

  3. Mark, I did, but the US budget has hardly been the cause of the current crisis (or else Eastern Europe wouldn’t be in worse shape than the U.S.).

The Great Depression is much misunderstood, Hoover was actually quite an activist President (not to mention spending much of his time as Commerce Secretary, prior to becoming President, pushing for the Federal Reserve to pop the stock market bubble.

  4. The political commentary is pretty annoying. You, frugaltravelguy and others are free to write whatever you want (it’s your blogs), but it makes people who don’t want a travel blog to become yet another political blog go elsewhere for their travel information.
