New Metal Platinum Cards Available and Act Quickly for $15 Uber Credit This Month (Good for Food Too)

At the beginning of the month American Express announced a slew of changes to their Platinum cards. Changes go into effect today.

New Platinum cards are metal. American Express will replace current Platinum cards with metal cards when those cards are close to their normal expiration, however you can request a replacement metal card now.

Uber Dishes on What People are Losing Inside Cars

Uber has released a “Lost and Found Index” and they’re sharing details on what customers report having lost inside rideshare vehicles. And since they’re into big data they drill down into where people are losing things, and when things get lost.

The most common items to lose when you take an Uber are (in order): Phone; Ring; Keys; Wallet; Glasses; Purse; License / ID; Gloves/ Glove; Charger; Sunglasses.

IATA Chief Calls for End to Unacceptable Electronics Ban

International Air Transport Association CEO (and former CEO of Air France KLM) Alexandre de Juniac spoke today at the Montreal Council on Foreign Relations.

He spent some time on the laptop ban levied against 10 airports, 9 airlines, and 8 countries for flights to the U.S. calling the measures “not an acceptable long-term solution” and “difficult to understand their effectiveness” in the short term.
