The Racism in Delta’s Fight Against Mideast Airlines

Delta’s roots are as a crop duster company combating boll weevil infestations. Its inaugural flight under the Delta name was to Jackson, Mississippi. It moved its headquarters to Atlanta in 1941, and the airline’s dominant presence throughout the Southeast through its headquarters hub gave rise to the old maxim, “Whether you’re going to heaven or hell you have to connect in Atlanta.”

Nonetheless they grew to become, at one point, the world’s largest airline.

Going On Vacation? Pet Sitting is Now Illegal in New York

My Yorkshire terrier is now over 15 years old. He’s still full of spunk but tires more than he used to, and gets stressed out more easily too. We used to board him at a cage free day care in town, and he loved it there. But he’s just not able to do it anymore.

It’s a good thing, then, that I don’t live in New York. Because pet sitting is illegal in New York City.

It Took Up to 17 Police Officers to Toss a 33 Year Old Grandfather From a Plane

Davi Stretton Mellor, his wife Kerry-Anne, along with their children and grandchildren were taken off the flight.

They got into a fight with other passengers. In their version other passengers “were banging on their children’s seats.” And nothing happened until Stretton Miller went to sleep and “was later woken by Spanish police who demanded he leave the plane.”
