- After the Supreme Court allowed the Trump administration to implement a portion of its travel ban pending a ruling later this year, Hawaii challenged the administration’s implementation as inconsistent with the Court’s ruling.
There’s a good case that the administration has defied the Supreme Court, illegally denying access to the U.S. to people with U.S. connections. However a federal district court refused to interpret the Court’s ruling.
Now the 9th Circuit has remanded the case to the District Court with instructions to do just that.

Finally, I went to get my image and uniform checked by another one of the senior cabin crew member. This part of the process always made me feel a bit uncomfortable.
I felt like a doll on display for someone as they went through their checklist looking for the following: that my nails were of the right length and color (either clear or red), that my hair and makeup were up to standards, that my uniform was in perfect condition, and my tights were of the right opacity and color. The standards were meticulous; even the slightest difference meant getting a note about it on your flight review. That’s why on my first few flights I always made sure to take extra time getting ready.

- I’ve noted that New York – Budapest stood out as a market without a non-stop flight. While oneworld member MALÉV Hungarian ceased operations in 2012 they had terminated their New York service in 2008. Delta ended theirs in September 2011. The last non-stop flight from the US to Hungary was American Airlines four-times weekly service from New York JFK which ended in December 2011.
Now it seems Warsaw-based Star Alliance member LOT Polish will launch service from Budapest to New York and Chicago.
- JohnnyJet offers 10 reasons to fly Alaska Airlines. I’ll offer an 11th: because starting January 1 you’ll no longer be able to fly any American Airlines flight you want and still earn Alaska miles.

Ram, you’re the billionth and first: As you said, United requested that a seated passenger be removed.
If you have trouble seeing the difference, then suppose someone harassed a FA and UA asked airport security to remove him, but instead security decided to just shoot him instead.
Would you accuse UA of shooting the PAX by asking for a removal?

United started the chain of events that led to the beating of a passenger.
Even dumb Oscar eventually grasped it and decided to pay off the passenger and included the airport police in the settlement.
