Systemwide Double Points (Count Towards Elite Status) from JetBlue

Ivanka Trump’s favorite airline will give you 5000 miles for your first flight when you join their frequent flyer program. And you can get a 50% bonus when you transfer points from a Citi Prestige Card or other ThankYou points card to JetBlue TrueBlue.

Biggest of all, via Frequent Flyer Bonuses, JetBlue is offering double base points on all flights systemwide.

Spring is just around the corner, and with a change of seasons, we wanted to give you a head start on a change in status. For a limited time, you can get closer to earning Mosaic status with DOUBLE base flight points on all flights. Base flight points are the 3 points you earn on the base fare of a purchased JetBlue flight. Just register and book by 3/23/17 and fly by 4/30/17.

Registration is required, book travel by March 23 for flights through April 30, and these points count towards elite status qualification.

It’s only for new bookings made March 2 onward, which is a function of the airline wanting to limit costs but has the effect of undermining feelings of existing customers who buy from JetBlue because they’re loyal — they’re told their business is taken for granted.

I like JetBlue’s ‘Mint’ — a fantastic product at a fair price. JetBlue points don’t expire and they offer family pooling of points. They have reasonable change fees too.
