25% Off Avios Awards to Europe Without Big Fuel Surcharges

If you have an Iberia Avios account that has been open 90 days and has earned at least 1 point, you can transfer British Airways Avios over to Iberia Avios.

Or you can transfer American Express Membership Rewards points directly to Iberia.

Iberia has lower-priced transatlantic awards than British Airways does — and they don’t add exorbitant fuel surcharges onto the price of awards as long as you’re flying Iberia.

    Iberia Business Class

What’s more, via UK blogger Head for Points, they’re even running a 25% off sale on several routes to and from Madrid. These include Miami, New York, Boston, Chicago – Madrid flights in both directions.

Book by February 14 for travel through June 14, with the following dates blacked out: April 7-18, 21-24, and 28-29 April; May 2-3, 6-8; June 9-12.

Normally Madrid – Boston, New York, or Chicago is just 34,000 points each way. This discount makes those flights just 25,500 each way.

Make sure to check award availability before transferring points, while Iberia does offer generous award space for 2 passengers between the US and Madrid that’s often only in the month following schedule open and pickings won’t be super generous.
