There are some great fares today bookable with airfare metasearch site Momondo for travel March through mid-May.
You can fly from Chicago to Stockholm or Copenhagen starting at $366 roundtrip. (HT: Airfare Spot)
Travel is on American Airlines partners and oneworld airlines Finnair and British Airways. For instance, here’s Chicago – Helsinki – Copenhagen roundtrip on Finnair:

You’re not going to upgrade these fares. While we do see occasional business class sale fares, it’s incredible the economy sale fares we’ve seen. When these fares come up, they’re only around for a short while.
Flash sales have become the new airline discount strategy in order to pick up incremental business from people that wouldn’t otherwise be flying — without leaving the fares around long enough to displace most of the trips airlines would otherwise sell. That’s great for flexible leisure travelers especially.
