Up to 50,000 Bonus American Airlines Miles for Australia & New Zealand Flights

Register and book by the end of the year and travel on non-stops between the US and Australia or New Zealand between February 1 and May 31, 2017 and you can earn bonus miles.

  • It’s for advance bookings (minimum 60 days)
  • For travel dates that head into a slower season
  • Suggesting American is expecting some empty seats and hoping to goose that a bit.

Here’s the earning table: The bonus is awarded for each flight segment and you can earn it for up to 3 segments.

You have to travel on American-coded flights (whether operated by American or Qantas — no Qantas flight numbers).

Existing tickets purchased before today aren’t eligible under the rules and I hate that. Tell your members you don’t value their loyal business, you only care about people who haven’t bought tickets from you yet. Poor form, but a way of limiting expenses for the promotion and rewarding only those people who might be influenced by the promotion.

The “select” economy fares that earn miles are: Y, H, K, M, L, W, V, G, Q, N, O and S
