Last year I wrote about a homeless man who used credit card signup bonuses and reselling to live in hotel rooms. He was brand-loyal to Marriott, and ultimately caught buying and reselling Amtrak tickets.
Of course he might have just stayed at the Radisson JFK which New York had been using to house the homeless.
Hotels are one place to go, another is airports. While LaGuardia works to kick out the homeless apparently Frankfurt does not and of course you can eat in lounges indefinitely.
Here’s another strategy: living as a stowaway on Amtrak and of course using numerous credit cards (Amtrak MasterCards?) to obtain travel.
A man accused of essentially living as a stowaway on trains was arrested in Pittsburgh, police said.
…Jones is accused of having nearly $7,000 in train vouchers, and police said the credit card used to buy the vouchers was stolen.
Police said Jones made a number of daily trips from Chicago to Washington D.C. They said he always traveled alone in a sleeper cabin and carried no luggage.

He’s not the first Amtrak stowaway, but sleeper cars are better than locking oneself in the lavatory.
One can get away with this because Amtrak is slow to respond to incidents, for instance the woman stuck in an Amtrak elevator who tweeted for help and got a response 7 months later.
He might well have been the only passenger on some of those Pittsburgh trains

He was a thief. How is that leveraging? I clicked thinking that some homeless guy found a secret that no one knew about, and he “leveraged” credit cards by stealing. Wrong title. and a waste of my time.
