Delta Puts Tokyo Awards on Sale, From 25,000 Miles Each Way

I receive compensation for many links on this blog. You don’t have to use these links, but I am grateful to you if you do. American Express, Citibank, Chase, Capital One and other banks are advertising partners of this site. Any opinions expressed in this post are my own, and have not been reviewed, approved, or endorsed by my advertising partners. I do not write about all credit cards that are available -- instead focusing on miles, points, and cash back (and currencies that can be converted into the same).

I week ago I wrote about truly amazing business class award availability on Delta’s new Minneapolis – Tokyo Haneda flight with 6 or more saver award seats per flight.

This was what availability looked like for 6 passengers in business class during the flight’s first full month of service (Minneapolis – Tokyo Haneda starts October 29). Most dates actually showed 9 business seats.

Now Delta has launched an award sale. These flights are “use ’em or lose em” — the Department of Transportation will give the slot to American for Dallas Fort-Worth service if Delta doesn’t keep flying — so they might as well fill some seats.

You need to book by October 13 for travel between October 29 and December 7, 2016.

Comments

  1. LOVE that movie, actually watched it first on our last CX F HKG-JFK which will be our last CX F flight most likely.

  2. These “sale” awards is because their FF Mile (revenue based, secret award chart) program is so rotten, 95% of fliers have 0 account balances. Economy class to HND on Delta is torture. No thank you Delta.

There is no doubt, Delta’s FF Mile program are in the same league as ObamaCare insurance policies. “It’s the craziest thing in the world, if you ask me.”
