Ok, Which One of You Did THIS?

Mickey H., who shared this with me on Facebook, wrote But officer… ‘You don’t understand, I have only one day left to earn a big bonus.’

Here’s what happened:

A Glenwood woman drove her SUV through a Springfield Safeway early Monday after trying to buy thousands of dollars’ worth of gift cards, police say.

Noella Yvonne Fay, 43, tried to purchase $2,200 in gift cards from the Safeway at 1891 Pioneer Parkway East at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Springfield police said in a news release. However, her check didn’t clear and Fay left the store angry.

Fay returned at 12:23 a.m. and drove up to the doors of the store in her 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe yelling about “wanting her cards,” police said.

Can anyone tell what she did wrong here, besides of course driving her car through the doors of the Safeway?

She was paying by check. This does not earn miles, people. #YoureDoingItWrong

Clearly she was neither trying to earn miles nor to launder cash. She was trying to buy cash equivalents with a bum check. My guess is that the Safeway is out of luck, because judgment proof.
