500 Free Club Carlson Points and Earn Points for Other People Staying at Hotels

While the signup page doesn’t mention the bonus, Club Carlson is going to award 500 points to people who sign up for their free ‘Club Carlson for Travel Arrangers’ program by May 31. Points are supposed to post within 14 days of enrollment.

The idea of the program is you’re booking hotels for other people, they’ll reward you for booking Club Carlson hotels. I’ve often wondered why more programs don’t directly reward travel arrangers (as opposed to companies) in the mold of the 1970s-era Southwest Secretaries Program.

Get 10 Gold Points per U.S. dollar for eligible hotel bookings you make for your business travelers. It’s easy – we track your bookings and award points to your account once travel is complete.

I value Club Carlson points at $0.004 apiece so this is worth $2. But it also resets the expiration of points in your account.

Frequent Flyer Bonuses writes,

The new program reminds us of IHG’s program, SPG Pros and others where you earn points for arranging travel bookings for others.

In the email I received it states that I’ll earn 500 Gold Points just for enrolling. It seems this is not targeted and open to anyone who enrolls by May 31st.

  1. Danke. I am pleasantly surprised this post didn’t whirl out of control with stories of every Radisson you’ve stayed at for the past 10 years (and associated links and exclamation points).

  2. Gary,

I clicked on your link and I didn’t see any mention of the 500 points for signing up. I watched the video also. It seems odd it wasn’t mentioned anywhere.

  3. I tried to enroll but just received an email that said:
We are unable to process your Club Carlson for Travel Arrangers application for enrollment at this time. This new program is for eligible executive assistants and administrative staff who book hotel stays for their organization’s business travelers. The invitation to apply for the program was a private offer distributed to a select audience and is not available to the general public.

  4. Same happened to me. I also received the exact same email:
“Thank you for your interest in the Club Carlson for Travel Arrangers program. Please UPDATED this post. @Gary — Please UPDATE this post so people don’t waste their time. Evidently, it was a targeted promo and Club Carlson is rejected random applications, so it’s not going to work for anyone unless they were targeted.

  5. Thanks for your coverage on our new Club Carlson for Travel Arrangers program, we’re really excited about it!

Your post correctly identified the intent of the program, which is to reward executive assistants and administrative staff who book business travel for others in their company. However, the May 25 email invitation that you referred to was a private offer designated to a select audience who qualify for this membership and is not available to the general public. Only those receiving the invitation can enroll and qualify for the bonus points.

For easy reference, here is the link to the terms and conditions of our new program: https://www.clubcarlson.com/section/terms.home/termsandconditions.sidemenus#travelarrangers

Customers who would like to enroll into this new travel arranger loyalty program should contact their local sales team at their favorite Carlson Rezidor hotel to apply. Note that this is currently only valid in participating hotels.

Thanks again for your interest in the Club Carlson rewards program!

    The Club Carlson Team
