Getting Your 4th Night Free on Hotel Stays Has Become Even Easier

Citi Prestige offers 50,000 points after $3000 spend within 3 months (offer expired). It offers nearly identical spending bonuses — triple points on air and hotel and double points on dining and entertainment.

This is a $450 card, but gives you a $250 airline credit (which can be used on airfare, and earned twice during your first cardmember year if you apply now) and a $100 global entry credit. Points can be used to buy paid tickets on American at 1.6 cents apiece or transferred to miles with several airline programs.

Etihad First Class. This card’s points transfer directly to Etihad Guest, as well as programs like Singapore Airlines Krisflyer.

The benefits are worth thousands of dollars. It’s worth jumping now, because it may be too good to last.

The card comes with American Airlines lounge access (when flying American) and a Priority Pass Select card (with unlimited visits and 2 free guests). And 3 free rounds of golf per year, too, and 4th night free on hotels.

Park Hyatt Buenos Aires — Why Not Get 4th Night Free?

The Citi Prestige Card‘s 4th night free benefit has even just been improved and this really is a killer benefit that can save you big money on hotel stays throughout the year.

Citi has changed the concierge company they use for their Prestige card (HT: One Mile at a Time), and that’s who helps you take advantage of the 4th hotel night free benefit that the card comes with. As a result the process is really streamlined. They’ve moved to Aspire Lifestyle Concierge from Ten Lifestyle Concierge. Here’s how the process works now:

  1. Call Aspire at 561-922-0158 and provide your first name, last name, and billing ZIP code
  2. Give them the name of the hotel you want to book, the dates of your stay, and the room type and rate you want them to book.
  3. The Aspire rep confirms the reservation details.
  4. You give your credit card and hotel loyalty program numbers and now the Aspire rep can keep these on file for you.

This makes calls quicker and easier with a single person handling your reservation in one shot. Within a few minutes of the call you get an email confirmation including how much reimbursement will be credited to your card for the fourth night (which should be the amount of the 4th night on the reservation including tax).

And the best part is that the change doesn’t appear to have any downsides: you can still book discounted prepaid rates and AAA rates and get your fourth night free with the card.

For those with a broader interest in Aspire as the card’s new concierge provider, they’ve got a concierge microsite.

  1. Thanks for this update, Gary. Nice to learn that this useful service has been streamlined. Of course, let’s see how it works in practice.

    A couple of points:
    1. Are you sure that the fourth night rebate includes rebating the tax? I’d thought not, but am not certain.
    2. Folks using the service should be aware that the rebate is not simply one-quarter of the total. It’s what the cost of the last night would be, billed on a night by night basis. E.g., if the night by night charge is 200-300-300-200, you get back 200 as opposed to 250.

  2. Hi, Does this mean that you can book any hotel and get the 4th night free or is it still just the hotels that Carlson Wagonlit has on their portal? There were limited options in Penang for example in the portal and when I called in the past. Thanks.

  3. I called day before yesterday and the concierge rep said the hotel I chose isn’t in their system, but she would e-mail me a quote. Still waiting on an e-mail. I’m guessing I should call back and just say I’d rather stay on hold while they research prices?

  4. Will Hilton/Hyatt/Starwood count stays booked this way toward elite stays and do diamonds receive their benefits?

  5. I don’t know if all the reps are like this, but I just made my first booking using this benefit and it was miserably slow. A process that would have taken 30 seconds online was a 30 minute phone call. It literally took him a minute just to type in my first name. I wonder if they get paid by the minute that they are on the call because it seems he was intentionally delaying. In any case, worth $200 though.

  6. I have been having some trouble utilizing this benefit. I am planning a trip to New Zealand, which includes stays at several lodges where breakfast and dinner are included (some include lunch, as well). The concierge representative I spoke to said that unless the lodge/hotel could break out the room charge from the food charge, they couldn’t give me credit for the 4th night. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

  7. From the concierge site, it looks like they are in the Starwood Luxury Privileges Program, which they list as providing the following benefits:

    Complimentary room upgrade on arrival*
Complimentary breakfast for two each morning
$100.00 amenity per stay (F&B credit, spa credit or welcome gift)**
    Personal welcome
    Early or late check-out*
    Complimentary standard in-room internet access

Any idea if you can combine this with the 4th night free?
