Luxury Travel Diary, a high-end travel blog with great reviews based in the UK, has a bunch of travel auctions — some about to close, others extend into October — and there look to be some real bargains.

They wanted to highlight some of these, and offered to help organize a giveaway of a 3 night stay in a 3-bedroom luxury apartment in Knightsbridge, London for readers of this blog. Details on how to comment on this post to win below.

Folks who already know about these auctions won’t like the added attention, because frankly there aren’t enough bidders relative to the value of the offerings and some of these items go too cheap.

  4. Choosing Ovington over hotels is a must for those traveling with a family of more than three since you will need to book two hotel rooms. In this expensive city any savings help!

  11. My husband and I usually travel with at least one (senior citizen) parent, which means booking two hotel rooms. Being able to stay in this apartment would allow everyone to have plenty of privacy and their own space while also being able to experience London outside the hotel bubble. Plus, Knightsbridge is one of our favorite areas of London!

  20. I would love to stay in the London apartment! I’ve been to London twice and have only ever stayed in rented flats while there. We really like going to the local grocery stores and checking out the different products to buy in other countries and then making some home cooked meals instead of eating at restaurants all the time.

  38. I am in London all the time. Looks like an interesting place. London hotels sometimes can be a miss. The longer your stay in London, the more you want a rental over a standard hotel.
