Luxury Travel Diary, a high-end travel blog with great reviews based in the UK, has a bunch of travel auctions — some about to close, others extend into October — and there look to be some real bargains.

Prize: a three-night stay in a luxury apartment in Knightsbridge, London at The Ovington Elegance – subject to availability, stay by April 28 (excluding December 25-27, December 31-January, and March 25-26).

There are many reasons to select a property like the Ovington apartment over a hotel. For example, I am taking a trip with my mother and two sisters in a couple of months and the four of us would be much more comfortable in an apartment. We would not have to split up into two rooms and would have more space to spread out. Also, I really enjoyed this part of London when I was there in June. Easy access to dining, shopping, parks, and museums.

A stay at the Ovington Elegance in Knightsbridge would be a glorious way to return to London and celebrate 40 years exactly since I first walked through that neighborhood as a wide-eyed college kid on my first trip to the U.K. The apartment looks amazing.
The Kalimba Yacht tour looks amazing and is one that I will be following.

I stayed in London last October and passed through Knightsbridge. However, never experienced the residential option. Ovington would just do that – let one feel like a local in London.

A stay at the Ovington Elegance would be awesome because of the location. Right near Harrod’s and a short tube ride from many cool tourist attractions.
I’d adore staying at the Ovington in Knightsbridge. I was in London at the age of 14 and fell in love with that city. (Even though a raven at the Tower scared me when he flew at the brass buttons on my jacket.) Many years later, (I’m 53 now) I’d love to go back and live like a local if only for a short time. Hotels are wonderful but I think we can really experience a place when we can be part of the local set. Also, I have a new jacket with brass buttons and those ravens are still there. . .
I would absolutely stay at The Ovington Elegance luxury apartment in Knightsbridge over hotels in London. Hotels are notoriously overpriced there, and this looks like a great alternative right in the center of the city!

Hotel Tres in Mallorca is currently listed at 150 GBP with 3 days left for bidding. But 5 nights?!?! Simply awesome and this is by far my favorite auction item. Had a great time there when I last visited and will definitely be bidding for this one. Thank you for the opportunity!
