A Letter to All Co-Pilots

The following is an excerpt of a letter allegedly sent to all American Airlines (née American Airways) co-pilots in 1930 (.pdf):

I cannot vouch for the letter’s authenticity, but did manage to verify via the Brownsville Herald that the purported author, Jerry Marshall, was indeed the name of the airline’s Operations Manager in 1930.

Nonetheless, much has changed in the airline industry over the past 85 years.
