$400 Discount on British Airways is Back!

Last week I wrote about the status of the $400 AARP discount for premium cabin British Airways tickets.

The discount has been around for awhile, and gets renewed on an annual basis. The current one shows valid for bookings made by October 31.

Back in April you could buy British Airways business class New York – Paris for under $1000 roundtrip when BA was matching La Compagnie pricing and let you stack both the AARP discount ($400 off) and the British Airways Visa discount (10%).

After that deal the AARP discount seemed to stop working on certain promotional fares.

A little over a week ago the page for booking British Airways flights with this discount simply errored out completely.

We regret that the special discount offer is currently unavailable.

The fear was that it had been pulled altogether.

Fortunately, the discount is working again.

We do not know for certain that it will be extended come the end of the month when the current iteration expires (as it has been each of the past several years). Although at a minimum it wasn’t intended to be gone already, which gives us hope that it will be continued.

  1. Do you know if this is only for transatlantic travel? Would tickets from US – India roundtrip be valid? Also is this still stackable with the 10% BA Visa discount?
