50,000 Point Offer Found for American Express Business Gold Rewards Card!

Via The Military Frequent Flyer, FedEx is promoting American Express cards when you open a new account with them.

The offer they have for the Business Gold Rewards Card is better than what I’ve seen as the best publicly available offer for that card.

It’s offering 50,000 points after $5000 in eligible purchases on the card in the first three months of card membership. “Terms and limitations apply,” as they say but this is a pretty strong offer because:

  • It’s double the number of points that my link to the card currently provides.
  • Frequently in the past the spend requirement has been $10,000 for bonuses this high.

Here’s the link to that card offer.

It also appears to come with a FedEx discount of 25% (up to $200) on qualifying services with FedEx Ground and FedEx Express during your first three months of cardmembership. And the Business Gold Rewards card is an OPEN small business card, meaning rebates for spend with several merchants (I use an OPEN card – the Starwood business card – when paying for domestic full service Hyatt stays as I get 5% back).

Note: No referral links were used in the making of this offer.

  1. Hey Gary– I called Amex yesterday about a 75k Business Platinum offer I got in the mail, hoping I could talk them into 100k (or the ultra-rare 150k offer I’ve read about online, but never knew anyone who received.) They wouldn’t offer me more than 75k for the Platinum, but they did offer me the same 75k points (after $5k spend in 3 months) for the Business Gold card if I preferred that. Anyway, obviously YMMV, but thought it might be an interesting, recent data point.

  2. Logged into my Amex account toady to be completely surprised by a 75K Amex Gold Business offer in my offers section. The offer is valid until March 3rd so I’ll probably wait until my next app-o-rama.

I also received a 75K offer in the mail for the personal amex plat. I think Amex wants me to get another card. Been a customer with them for nearly 8 years with the same trusty blue cash card.

  3. 75,000 Business Gold Rewards and 100,000 personal Platinum targeted offers abound. Open an Amex Everyday or SPG, become a good customer, and watch your snail mail. They LOVE to send offers by mail and the offers usually come without the previous cardholder restrictions. I think Amex is pretty savvy to know that I spend 10,000/month on cards regularly and they know that if I’m spending 1,500/month on Amex that the other 8,500 is going elsewhere!

  4. Ditto Danny – Gary, it is always useful to know if one can get a card twice and after what period of time. Any chance you would consider making that a regular part of your credit card posts?

  5. Gary, Thank you. Haven’t had this card in over a year plus change, but with the new AMEX regulations, I assumed it would be a long time coming till I received this card again, that is until I saw your posting. Approved and thank you ever so much!!
