Everyone at December FTU Gets Elite Status. FTU Advanced Sold Out, But Tickets Remain for the Main Sessions

Frequent Traveler University, Washington DC area December 5-7

On Sunday, Frequent Traveler University launched for December 5-7 in Northern Virginia — just outside of DC, and down the street from Washington’s National Airport.

This will be the largest gathering ever of frequent flyers, held at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City.

There are actually two events held simultaneously — Frequent Traveler University and the smaller Frequent Traveler University Advanced. While the two events will share some speakers, they will be separated by several floors at the hotel.

Part of what will make this event so large is a partnership with USA Today. There should be some recognizable names added to the event soon with their help.

Already I’ve mentioned the following speakers:

  • Ben Schlappig, One Mile at a Time
  • Greg Davis-Kean, Frequent Miler
  • Stefan Krasowski, Rapid Travel Chai
  • Scott Mackenzie, Hack my trip
  • Daraius Dubash, Million Mile Secrets
  • Summer Hull, Mommy Points
  • Ed Pizzarello, Pizza in motion
  • Matthew Klint, Live and Let’s Fly
  • The Miles Professor

And I’ve extended some additional invitations as well, some folks that will be great to get involved and will be able to offer excellent insight into travel, and making the most of miles and points.

Everyone purchasing a ticket can receive Hyatt Gold Passport Platinum status. Frequently asked questions and details on this are the linked Milepoint thread.

Frequent Traveler University Advanced sold out quickly, as we knew it would. There are still tickets left for the main event.

Comments

  1. Gary, an article request for your blog: How to tell if you’re hoarding points/not redeeming them often enough.

  2. Gary how will this FTU differ from the last one in DC? Feel like I’m an intermediate level so don’t want too basic of sessions and missed out on the advanced one. Thanks!

  3. Any chance you can lobby Hyatt to extend platinum status to those of us attending FTU Advanced in San Diego? It is also in a Hyatt, so I don’t see why it should be treated differently.
