The Next Frequent Traveler University is Coming – And Seats Are Limited

The next Frequent Traveler University event is now a reality!

It will be held in Seattle, starting the evening of Friday April 25th and running through the afternoon of Sunday, April 27th.

I’m just starting to put together the program, but you’ll be able to meet and hear from folks like Ben from One Mile at a Time, Greg from Frequent Miler, and Summer from Mommy Points.

I’ll be sharing the rest of the speakers and schedule in the weeks and months to come.

April’s event outside Washington, DC was the largest gathering of frequent flyers in history, with well over 600 people in attendance. It sold out months in advance. That actually seemed too big, and the September event in Tampa felt more ‘right’ — better able to get to know people, build relationships, share tips with other attendees — at just over 400.

So the Seattle event — since our goal is about quality of interaction, learning, and relationship-building — will be capped at 400 attendees.

I’m looking forward to being back on the West Coast, and to bringing Frequent Traveler University to a new city!

Here are some recaps of past events:

  1. […] Frequent Traveler University in Seattle is now planned and tickets are on sale. I don’t know yet if I’ll be going, but if you’re new to the miles and points game and want to meet some interesting people, you should at least consider checking it out. The sessions are quite informative if you’re new to the miles and points game. […]

  1. Very interested to see the program once it’s finalized. Hopefully we won’t have the same bloggers covering the same topics from past events (really, most presenters fall under this, but especially Belkin and his “loyalty is dead” angle).

  2. I think Ed was actually taking a cat nap while I was blabbering on, and I clearly was caught with a very photogenic expression. Ha!

  3. Site for tickets will not accept Canadian address/payment. Very frustrating. Guess this is a non-starter for now.

  4. never been to this, registered — sounds like fun. Have been active on Milepoint primarily (mht_flyer) and flyertalk, ffocus.

    Looking forward….

  5. Gary, the FTU website http://ftuniversity.com/ that is the first link in this post has not been updated to reflect the Seattle event. It’s still all about Tampa.

Probably want to get that site updated before you promote the link further! 🙂

  6. I am NOT attempting to start something here…but the first thing that jumped out at me when reading this is that while all my “usual Miles and Points bloggers” are NOT fans of Marriott, where is the FTU being held in Seattle? LOL Good news for me–I am a Marriott fan… Stayed in this hotel twice in August on a Mileage Run to HKG. Very convenient to the airport.

  7. Ticket bought and hotel booked! Will the special Marriott rate count as a qualifying stay for the Spring Megabonus promotion?
