Double Miles for Tax Payments with United Visa

In the first of the tax season bonus miles offers I’ve seen, the Chase United Visa is offering double miles on tax payments charged to the card up to 15,000 bonus miles for charges made between March 14, 2009 and May 31, 2009.

  1. Ooh, just checked and with a convenience fee of 2.49% for Federal payment makes this pretty steep. Not sure I can justify a few hundred $ for double miles.

  2. This link seems to have “disappeared”!!!
I wish I had saved a screen shot.
    Does anyone know what happened???

  3. I’m not sure if I should still risk making the payment and then groveling for the double miles later from Chase…..
    HELP!

  4. I called United and they said if you didn’t get it in the mail as on offer, you are not entitled to it.

I told them about not being able to find the page I had previously seen and the guy turned into a bit of a jerk. Asked for a supervisor to verify and he said “I AM SURE!”
    (jerk)
